Show Ferdinand O. Ottosen Laid To Rest In Talmage Cemetery On January 20th - Duchesne county, and particularly the Talmage Tal-mage community, was shocked by the passing of Ferdinand O. Ottosen, Otto-sen, a promising young man and a member of one of the pioneer families of Duchesne county. Mr. Ottosen was born on March 25, 1905, at Castle Dale, Utah, a son of H. P. Ottosen and Elizabeth Whiting Ottosen. - In the spring of 1909 he came .with his parents to what is now Duchesne county, and settled on what is known as the Ottosen ranch near Talmage, where he died. Here he spent his boyhood days. On March 25, 1926, his 21st birthday, he was I united in marriage with Miss Helen Hel-en Jensen, of Saudy Utah, and later they went through the endowment en-dowment house in Salt Lake City. In 1927 he went to Meeker, Colo., whence his father, Mr. H. P. Ottosen, had preceded him, and spent some three years on a homestead home-stead near Meeker with his family. fam-ily. While in Colorado he made many friends, and we exceedingly popular with all his associates, both business and social. He then I returned to the Ottosen ranch where he resided during the years i ! 1931 and 1932, and to the time of !his death. He was engaged during dur-ing this time in operating the ranch with his brother, Lamont. There are left to mourn . him his widow a.nd two children, Mel-ba, Mel-ba, age five years, and Glen, age three, as well on by his father, H. P. Ottosen of Meeker, Colorado, He is also survived by the following fol-lowing brothers and sisters. Byron By-ron C. Ottosen, Leland B. Ottosen, Otto-sen, Mrs. J. W. Frisby, Mrs. Har- old Madsen, and Florence ' Ottosen Otto-sen all of Meeker Colorado, and , Edwin Lamont Ottosen, of Tal-, mage. - He was very active in L. D. S. church work, and was very highly high-ly thought of in nis community, and his presence will be deeply, missed by all his neighbors and I associates. His father was a high-, I ly respected citlzzen of this coun- J I ty, and thl3 paper and the entire community join in extending our deepest sympathy to the father and widow of this young man. Funeral services were held at ! Talmage on January 22, Bishop Burton being the main speaker. (Austin G. Burton and .Mrs. Stan-I Stan-I ley McDonald sang "Some Day I We'll Understand.' Henry A.
