Show TRUCK OWNERS JOIN STATE ASSOCIATION o Twenty-five truck--owners -and operators of the Uintah Basin joined the Utah Truck Owners As-sacition As-sacition at a meeting held in Duchesne, Du-chesne, August 22, at which over 40 truckers and business men were present. Sam Keffer of Salt Lake City, manager of the association, which has it's headquarters at 315 Dooly Block, Salt Lake City, was the principal speaker of the meeting. Other speakers from Salt Lake City were Mr. Kendall, secretary of the association, and Mr. Links, i Salt Lake Truck operator. The purpose and aim of the association as-sociation were ably expressed by the speakers, much stress being put on the necessity of organized efforts towards protection and representation, re-presentation, especially in the matter of the recent legislation in the state legislature. Alfred Lublin of Roosevelt, and F. P. Fisher of Helper gave local views of the situation. Local representatives of the association, as-sociation, appointed for the Basin towns were: Duchesne, Service Garage; Myton, Roland Crebbs; Roosevelt, Earl Eldridge; Vernal, Lewis Motor Co. |
