Show N.R.A. COMMITTEE AT STATE MEETING An important N. R. A. meeting was held Friday evening in the Chamber of Commrce building in Salt Lake City. Those attending from Duchesne were G. V. Billings, Mr. and Mrs. Robt. G. Porter, Wm H. Case, and Mrs. Afton Croker. The object was to get in touch with those people from the various counties of tbj state who are to get behind the N.R.A. movement and put it before the people. Among the speakers of the evening eve-ning were: Governor Henry H. Blood, Dr. Greene, chairman of N. R. A. for Utah, Robert H. Hinckley, Hinck-ley, chaiman of Relief, Geo. Yager, chairman of Re-employment. Each speaker stressed the necessity ne-cessity of every person getting behind this movement and making it a success. The general feeling seemed to be that the N.R.A. was the most important undertaking the country has assumed since the days of the World War, and that in reality it is really a wartime issue and must be given the whole hearted and enthusiastic support of every American citizen. Ray E. Dillman and H. B. Calder, have been appointed chairmen chair-men and Mrs. R. G. Porter has been appointed chairwoman for the counties of Duchesne, Uintah and Daggartt. The local committee consists of Mrs. E. W. Crocker, chairman, Mrs. J. P. Madsen, Mrs. Ernest Schonian, Mrs. J. W. Johnstun. Mrs. Grant Murdock, Mrs. Marvell Marett, and Mrs. Max Peterson. Plans are laid for a general meeting of the women of Duchesne Du-chesne at an early date, when the 4f N. R. A. code will be explained ' and discussed. 1 |
