Show Basin Pioneer In A Critical Condition Mrs. Mary Spratt xf Utahn suffered a Cerebral Hemmorhage last Saturday afternoon, which left her In a very serious condition. condit-ion. Word was sent to her two sons, Byron of Bingham, and Phil of Butte, Montana, and her daughter, dau-ghter, Mrs. Laird Dean of Topeka, Kansas. Byron came to Duchesne Saturday Satur-day night, and Mrs. Dean arrived Monday afternoon to be with their Mother. Latest reports are that Mrs. Spratt, though still in a serious ser-ious condiiioni is very much improved. im-proved. If she continues to improve im-prove at the rate she has done during the week, Mrs. Dean will probably leave for Topeka again Sunday. Mrs. Spratt is one of the first pioneers of the Basin, having settled set-tled in Utahn in 1907, shortly after the apening of the Reservation, Reservat-ion, following her son Byron, who first came out in 1905. |
