Show 'Tabiona News by Florence Turnbow Tabiona High School enjoyed the famous Bruno Zaffina, an artist from the National Assembly Assem-bly at California. Several parents par-ents were also present. Mr. Zaffina drawed several sketches and at the same time told a story behind the picture. He gave many good thoughts of life to the students teaching them, "What you give you will receive". He stressed love and kindness and many other ideals, of life. He also sketched a portrait of Kathy Young and Ronald Letter. Tabiona Mutual held a festival festi-val Tuesday evening. Those who gave speeches were Wilda Wadley, Eugene Chavez, De Vona Defa, Roslin Fabrizio, Julyn Morin and Va Lona Humes. Eugene Chavez and Wilda Wadley were chosen to represent the Tabiona Ward at a speech contest meeting April 9th at the Stake House. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Car-lile Car-lile attended the funeral services ser-vices of Eliza B. Merrill, an aunt of Kenneth. Services were held Wednesday at the Tenth-Sexteenth Tenth-Sexteenth L.D.S. Ward chapel of Provo. Ralph Smith and Joseph Rhoades attended funeral ser- vices Monday for Keith McKen-na, McKen-na, a nephew of Ralph's. Mrs. Rene Morin spent two days at the Utah Valley Hospital in Provo. She was taken ill Monday. Mrs. Donnelta Erick-son Erick-son accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Morin to Provo. Mrs. Morin returned home Thursday feeling better. Mr. and Mrs. Morin's son, Brad, received head injuries. Friday when he was thrown from a horse. He is improved now. Mrs. Lydia Jones returned home Sunday after spending two weeks recovering from treatments at a Salt Lake hospital. hos-pital. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Jones took her to visit Mr. and Mrs.. Farland Jones at Ogden and returned home that night. Mrs. Jones has a great grandchild. Mr. and Mrs. Larry Gines of Salt Lake have a baby girl born March 14, weighing 7 pounds 12 ounces. Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Fabrizio Fab-rizio had their baby girl named Sunday at Testimonial meeting. Bishop Thomas Fabrizio named the baby. She was given the name of Lesa Genene. Kay Jones had her baby daughter named also. She will be known as Kandy Kay. Venice Ven-ice Turnbow named" the baby. Ferrill Young was visiting his parents Mr. and Mrs. Jack Young and other friends Tues- I day and Wednesday last week. Mr. and Mrs. Arvel Rhoades were in Salt Lake on business Friday. They visited at Provo with Mr. and Mrs. Duane Rhoades. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry White and daughter, and Joan Ivie of Salt Lake spent the weekend visiting Mr. and Mrs. Pete Ivie. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Josie of Salt Lake visited Sunday at Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Giles. Bernell Turnbow and Mr. and Mrs. Ted Nye were in Salt Lake visiting relatives Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Lee and son moved to Orem Friday. Jerry is employed at the steel plant. Venice Turnbow moved them to Orem. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Van Tas- sell were in Salt Lake Tuesday where Earl consulted his doctor. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Gines were in Salt Lake last week. They visited at American Fork with Mr. and Mrs. Moral Gines and Mr. and Mrs. Dan Gines. Mrs. Clista Defa and Mrs. Edna Giles visited a few days with their children in Salt Lake. Merrill and Richard Turnbow Turn-bow of Provo spent Sunday at Bernell Turnbow fs. Mr. and Mrs. Basil Defa and family of Salt Lake enjoyed the weekend visiting at Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Defa!s and Mr. and Mrs. Elvin Lewis1. Mr. and Mrs. Duane Rhoades of Provo spent the weekend visiting at Mr. and Mrs. Arvel Rhoades. Mr. and Mrs. Darreld Casper Cas-per were in Salt Lake Saturday visiting Mrs. Loretta Casper, Mr. and Mrs. Byron Stone and family. No Sunday school will be held next Sunday due to Gener-. Gener-. al Conference at Salt Lake and Stake Conference the following Sunday. |
