Show CIVIC PROBLEMS I IARE I ARE DISCUSSED AT CLUB MEETING l At the regular meeting of the Duchesne Gateway club Feb several matters matter of civic importance import import- flee ance were taken up up There was quite a discussion on the tIDe Junior Police organization and the changed chang chang- ed plans by the Board of Education Education tion Lion for the new high school Mr Crocker Crock of the Reemployment office office office of of- fice stated the need of going to the government officials with bur ur labor problems He explained why it is nece necessary sary for a revision reca to take care of family heads not on relief but who are now in desperate desper desper- ate straits There are 1100 men out of work in his district and are not on relief or never have been but they cannot g get t work because they are not accepting relief or have stayed clear of it A motion was passed to get in touch with the governing go officials on the problem and to get the support if possible of the other civic cine clubs in the county and Ba Basin in Mr Kohl president of the Ali d Civic Clubs of Eastern Utah brought up the matter of joining the Northern Utah Civic Clubs This was carried and the Gateway Gateway Gateway Gate Gate- way club was voted in |
