P Stokes of oC Cleveland Utah as guide visited the site of ot otan an ancient Fremont place of worship worship worship wor wor- ship In Buck Horn Draw about 50 miles mUes southeast of Price Saturday and Sunday A freak of nature had here produced a sun-disk sun of probably lG 16 feet in diameter something over a hundred feet above the valley and here those hose about A A. A D D. D had done obeisance to it and had danced danced danced ed beneath it the rayed figure which to them represented the very sun itself There they also camped until even today the ashes are a foot or more in thickness for two hundred feet in hi length facing the wall Not only that they made drawings of their dance scenes and the acts of adoring this disk on the walls beneath the figure in bright reds rich brown and yellows yellows yellows yel yel- yel- yel lows the drawings covering the wall to a length of feet and a height of over 12 The feet drawings drawIngs drawings draw- draw Ings of 51 human beings a total of different objects being shown all drawn in life size the size the largest continuous series of painted paint paint- ed drawings yet seen by Dr Reagan Rea Rea- gan Among the figures depicted are feathered plumed lightning snakes a turkey dancer almost like scenes one can now witness among the Hopi Pueblos Pueblos and even among the Utes A medicine ceremony ceremony ceremony cere cere- mony like those now had by the Navajos mad as a sand painting by them also covers quite a space The leading actors here two in number being designated by an eagle flying flying- above each The other actors here having llamas represented represented as running on a line above their heads Men are also shown as dancing with winged hands others with great streamers floatIng floating floating float float- ing from their arms and should should- I ers While other men have fleecy i clouds represented as suspended from their outstretched arms in an imitation flying dance The whole scene is so drawn as to show the actors are doing obeisance to the sun-disk sun on the rock wall above them that they are adoring it The human figures are all drawn by the Fremont pattern as used by that people in about A A.
