Police responded to re-ports of two female suspects observed vandalizing a ve-hicle. Upon arrival the vic-tim informed us of possible suspects. They later turned themselves in. However, the victim refused to press charg-es. No further action was taken. Police responded to Mac-ey- s grocery store on shoplift-er in custody. After further investigation, the suspect was found to be in possession of a schedule 2 controlled sub-stance. On August 9, officers took a report of a criminal mischief which occurred at a local bank. There is suspect information. Police responded on a re-port of criminal mischief, the reporting party stated that a window of his vehicle and been broken. Police responded to Cam-bria Apartment complexes on a report from a towing com-pany that they were in the process of towing a vehicle and a female came out and began to argue with the tow driver. On August 10 officers re-sponded on an attempted bur-glary. The victims said that they heard a soft knock at the door and then someone tried to open the door. Officers searched the area and could only locate a handicapped fe-male wailing in the area. No further action was taken. An officer made contact with the complainant regard-ing some vehicle parts being stolen off a broken down car in a building that he owns. The officer found no infor-mation was available on who took the items. The officer gathered the information that he could and filed this report. An officer responded on a report of a criminal mis-chief. The reporting party showed him a broken window in his garage where the inside pane was broken, but the out-side pane was not. The win-dow frame had a mark that possibly could have been a pry mark, but the window casing did not. The window was locked and still closed. No fingerprints or other evi-dence was available. On August 11 officers received a report of several items that had been stolen from Maceys and then recov-ered. The complainant made contact with the suspects in the parking lot and had them bring the items, valued at $100, back into the store. Police responded on a noise disturbance of loud mu-sic. Contact was made with two individuals on their bal-cony and drug paraphernalia was observed in plain view. Individuals refused to open the door to the residence and officers forced the door open and two arrests were made. On August 8 officers took a report of a theft of a laptop. There is possible sus-pect information. This case is being referred to detectives for further investigation. An officer responded on a report of a shoplifting in progress at Maceys Food and Drug. The officer found that one male had taken an item valued at $3.69 from the store without paying for it. The individual was later issued a citation for the theft and tres-passed from the store. An officer was dispatched to a theft detail where the complainant reported jewelry stolen from her home. The complainant stated she sus-pects an individual who had access to the area where the jewelry was kept while stay-ing in the home. The officer requested the complainant make a list of the jewelry and a description. This case will remain active and will be re-ferred to detectives for fur-ther Officers took report of a vehicle theft. The vehicle was taken at gunpoint. The vehicle was later abandoned and located. There is limited suspect information. This case is actively being inves-tigated by detectives. An officer was dis- - patched to an aggravated rob-bery in progress at a local residence where the reporting party explained an individual got out of a white passenger car and attempted to car jack another vehicle. After the suspect was unsuccessful in obtaining the keys, the. reporting party explained the suspect fired On August 4 officers responded on a burglary in progress and after a search of the home and area, were unable to locate the suspects. There was nothing taken from the home just some damage to a basement window. An officer spoke with an individual about his mailbox being damaged by kids put-ting ketchup on it. The vic-tim had suspect information for further follow-up- . An officer responded to a residence in Pleasant Grove on an agency assist detail. While investigating a disorderlypossible domes-tic complaint on August 5, two adults were found to be in possession of parapher-nalia and marijuana in their home. The altercation was determined to be verbal only. Both adults were cited for possession and released at the scene. On August 5 an officer was dispatched to a local res-idence on a burglary where the complainant reported his garage was opened without force somehow and property taken from his wife's vehi-cle. There were no signs of forced entry on the garage or vehicle. At this time there is no suspect information. This case will remain active and will be referred to detectives for further investigation. An officer was dis-patched to a burglary where it was reported by an officer of another police agency, who found the stolen prop-erty in the middle of the road in his city. The officer made contact with an indi-vidual living at the residence to gather further information about the burglary. This case will remain active and will be referred to detectives for further investigation. An officer was dispatched to a shoplifting detail at a lo-cal supermarket where the complainant reported having an individual in custody for stealing items from the store. The officer arrived on scene where he gathered evidence and surveillance from the complainant. One adult male was arrested then released with a promise to appear in court for the theft. On August 5 an officer was dispatched to a vehicle burglary where the complain-ant reported her car had been burglarized, but believed she had recovered the sto-len property. The officer re-sponded to the address where he made contact with pos-sible witnesses and gathered statements. This case will remain active and will be re-ferred to detectives for fur-ther investigation. On August 6 police re-sponded on a report of graf-fiti on a church. An officer found that the suspects had painted a marijuana leaf and the letters T.G.O.D. on the back side of the building. There is no suspect informa-tion at this time. Police responded to a call of an individual who called in a fraudulent prescription to a pharmacy. Upon the offi-cer's arrival at the pharmacy, the suspect was present and placed under arrest. The in-dividual also had possession of other prescription drugs without a prescription. The individual was transported and booked into Utah County Jail. An officer met with a male regarding a theft of a wallet. The officer found the wallet was taken while the male was at a bar. Also the suspect used the debit card to make purchases online. Police responded to the Pleasant Grove Police De-partment on a report of a sto-len vehicle. On August 7 officers took a report of a stolen bi- - On August 8 an individ-ual was acting in a play at a local business. The victim had left his personal items in a changing area, unsecured. An unknown suspect stole the victim's wallet. The vic-tim had cancelled his bank card and provided informa-tion as to the contents of the wallet.. The reporting party reported that she left her purse at the cashiers check out in the store and when she returned, the purse was gone. On July 19 two suspects entered the Walmart in Lindon. The suspects then removed items from the shelves and fraudu-lently returned them for re credit. The suspect's left the store without incident. On August 3 it was learned that the re credit card was used in Tennessee at a Walmart. This case will be forwarded to investigations. On August 5 officers re-sponded to Walmart on a report of a male individual in a vehicle huffing. One male was found in a vehicle and appeared to be un-der the influence. One male was transported to the Lindon Police Department where he was cited and released for DUI. On August 7 an officer was dispatched to a death investiga-tion. While on scene, he found a drug possession incident involv-ing marijuana occurred. The of-ficer collected the found drugs and related paraphernalia and booked it to be destroyed. No charges were filed as the party in possession was deceased. On August 9 a male was ar-rested at his home on warrants in related cases. During the arrest, drug paraphernalia was located. The male was booked into county jail on the parapher-nalia charge in this case as well as warrants in related cases. On August 7 an officer made contact with the report-ing party concerning a theft of a riding lawn mower. He advised that he had worked out the situa-tion with the suspect and he did not need any further help. The officer asked him again he again told him he did not need any po-lice assistance.
