Show Historic preservation grants available Applications for the 1980 Historic Preservation Grants-in-Aid will be accepted ac-cepted until February 1, 1979, at the preservation office of the Utah State Historical Society. According to Wilson G. Martin, preservation development de-velopment coordinator for the Society, preservation grants may provide up to 50 percent of the cost of restoration and development develop-ment of historical, arche-ological, arche-ological, or cultural structures struc-tures or sites listed on the National Register of Historic His-toric Places. Some thirty to sixty grants-in-aid are awarded annually to local governments, govern-ments, private organizations, organiza-tions, and individuals. Grant projects must be in accordance with National Register criteria, which lists recommended procedures pro-cedures for restoration and renovation. Applications and information infor-mation regarding the grants-in-aid may be obtained ob-tained by contacting Wilson Wil-son G. Martin at the preservation office of the Utah State Historical Society, 307 West Second South, Salt Lake City, Utah 84101 or by calling 533-6017. |
