They aren't around the schools very much but they still have a big responsibility. These people are the school bus drivers. They have the responsibility for the lives of children they carry to and from school. They take the best precautions to insure the children's safety on their particular bus. This time of year drivers are faced with snow storms and the danger of slick and icy roads. Buses come from as far as Thompson each day in all weather conditions. The bus may arrive late, but few days are missed. The bus driver is in charge of discipline on the bus. He must maintain discipline to provide safety for all the children. A serious accident could be the result of scuffling. Parents and children owe a big thanks to the bus drivers for the great job they do. |
