Show Christmas Party Enjoyed by Senior Citizens Moabites Senior Citizens Citi-zens held their Christmas Christ-mas Party Sat. night -a delicious Turkey dinner din-ner with all the trimmings trim-mings was served to 42 members and guests. A program of Harmonica solos, by Lydia, Skewes and Anna Day, accordian solo by Gen Holyoak, readings by Eliza Burr and Madge Warde. Howard How-ard and Frank Shields each told a funny story. Frenchie LaForrest played background music on the organ. Christmas songs were sung by all. One member, Howard Balsley, was honored, it being his birthday that week. He made a recording record-ing and told of his early days in Moab. The group all sang Happy Birthday and presented him with a beautiful Birthday Cake. The balance of the evening even-ing was spent dancing and playing cards. Gifts were given out to all. On Wednesday night, Bill Wheeler was honored honor-ed on his birthday - each member on their birthday is honored and a tape recording re-cording made. Mr. Wheeler had just gotten out of our Moab Hospital after three months spent there, with a broken hip and other complications, so it was a real treat for him and all the other members present. Heal-so Heal-so had a birthday cake. |
