Show Thompson News Notes By Virginia Gruver It was a shock to hear of the death of old-time Thompson Thomp-son resident, Bessie Davis. She had lived in Thompson longer than anyone here. Virginia Gruver had to g to Mnab on business and legal le-gal matters concerning her mother, Sarah F. Hale. What do you know - our snow came jn April. I guess it's better now than none at all. I picked up a small booklet, won't mention the name, but it was telling about the little known Westwater Canyon. They called it a blue-black gorge. It quoted prices on fares of going through the canyon and the white waters. People, whoever you are or wherever you may come from, don't make that trip it's a death trap. Several people have lost their lives tryhig to go through there. There's no way out once you start down. Tammy and Christine Fitch, granddaughters of the J. W. O'Neils of Thompson, came down from Orern Tuesday, April 4th on the train for Tammy's 8th birthday. A party was held on the depot lawn with all the childrSh in Thompson turning out to get acquainted. Their parents, Larry and Edith Fitch drove down on Saturday to return the girls home. |
