Show New Moab Motel Leased to Richfield Group Moab auto dealer, Jack Payne, who for the past several months has been engaged en-gaged in the construction of a 60-unit motel on his pro-pery pro-pery on South Main Streei, etated this week that a Richfield, Rich-field, Utah firm would open tuiu trpt'iaie uie muiei unuei lease about May 1. Mr. Payne stated that Marden Pearson and Associates Asso-ciates of Richfield, had signed sign-ed an operating agreement on the motel, and would bJ in full charge of the operation. opera-tion. The Pearson firm, Mr. Payne stated, operates a number of Travel-Lodge Motels Mo-tels in Provo, Salt Lake City Boise, and other mountain area communities. The lease signed with the Richfield group involves on-y on-y the motel and restaurant portion of the proerty owned own-ed by Mr. Payne, it was announced. an-nounced. The restaurant, which will not be opened this season, will eventually be housed in the large area which previously housed the auto showroom of the P &K Ford Sales before their new showroom was built several months ago. That section will also house the lobby, office of-fice and manager's quarters quar-ters in the new motel. Mr. Payne stated that he vould continue the active op-eraion op-eraion of the other businesses business-es aligned in the P & K complex, com-plex, including the Ford and Mercury dealership, a complete com-plete garage used car lot and car wash facility. |
