It will not be necessary at all to use Well No. 4 or the Skakel Spring this summer, Bunce said, indicating thac these two water sources are expensive to operate. The city's final well, called the Lance Well, located near the Grand-Vu Drivc-in Theater, The-ater, has been turned completely com-pletely over to the Cemetery Ceme-tery District for use on the Grand Valley Cemetery. The water' from that well is fine for irrigating, but is quite Ward, making it unpopular for household use. Mayor Bunce stated that if and when Moab grows to a size exceeding 10,000, one ,new well, the projected No. 7, cotild be drilled to provide pro-vide water for a population of 14,000, with no new storage stor-age or transmission lines, mie most recently-drilled well, No. 6, cost a total of $9,186.50, which would indicate indi-cate that the new well probably pro-bably would be relatively inexpensive in-expensive to drill. |
