Show Sunday Sunrise Services Draw Wsrslipers f Arches -Site. The churches of Moab will again conduct, unitedly, sn Easert Sunrise Service in the Arches National Monu-. ment at the LaSal Mountain Viewpoint at 6:33 a.m. next Sunday. A number of clergymen clergy-men and laymen will participate partici-pate in the services. The Rev. Emil Balla, Pastor Pas-tor of . the Community Baptist Bap-tist Church, will offer the invocation and conduct the services. The Rev. Leland Goodman, Pastor of the First Baptist Church will offer the Morning Prayer. The Rev. Arnold M. Hultgren, Pastor of the First Assembly of God Church will bring the Easter Message. The Scriptures will be read by two laymen, Mr. Charles McCormick, a member of the Episcopal Church of St. Francis, and Mr. Richard Kirschfeld, a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. Special music will be provided pro-vided by a brass ensemble, under the direction of Mr. Deward J. McLean. Mrs. Ray Townsend, of the First Baptist Bap-tist Church, will be the soloist. solo-ist. She will sing, "He is Not Here," accompanied by Mrs. Calvin Wyatt of the Community Commun-ity Baptist Church. There will also be congregational congre-gational singing of the glorious glor-ious Easter music. The members mem-bers of all churches, the general gen-eral public, guests, visitors and tourists are all invited to attend the services. In case of bad weather, the services ser-vices will be held in the Community Baptist Church., Other church observances during this special religious week are as follows: Community Baptist Holy Week and Easter Services Ser-vices at the Community Bap-. Following the Sunrise Services Servic-es at the Arches Sunday morning mor-ning the Young People of the Church will serve breakfast-to breakfast-to members of the congregation congre-gation in the Fellowship Hall. Senior Youth Group leaders are Mr. and Mrs. Paul Drake. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Fincher direct the Junior Youth Group. Sunday school will be the usual time, 9:45 a.m., and the only worship service of the day will be held at 11 a.m. First Baptist The First Baptist Church will present an Easter Cantata, Can-tata, "Hallalujah! What a Savior," by John W. Peterson Peter-son Sunday evening under direction di-rection of Norman G. Boyd. Mrs. Ray Townsend will provide pro-vide the accompaniment with narration by Rev. Lcland Goodman. Everyone is invit ed to come hear the inspiring inspir-ing story of Easter set to music. The cantata will begin be-gin a 7:30 sharp and run about 45 minutes. Church of St. Francis The Episcopal Church of St. Francis will celebrate Holy Eucharist, conducted by Bishop Bi-shop Richard S. Watson, at 10 a.m. Sunday at the church on Cane Creek Boulevard. Grace Lutheran The Grace Lutheran Church will begin Easter observances observanc-es with Communion services on Good Friday at 7:30 p.m., under the direction of Rev. Dale Schultz of Cortez. Easter Eas-ter Sunday services will be held at 5 p.m. LDS Church The LDS Church will be holding their General Conference Con-ference in Salt Lake City on Easter weekend For those unable to attend, services will be held by the First Mo ab Ward at 4 p.m. Sunday. The Second Ward will meet at 5:30 p.m. to enjoy special numbers toy the choir. Speakers Speak-ers for the evening will be Dr. LeRoy Evenson and Mr. Lynn Swenson. The Third Ward will meet at 7:00 p.m. to enjoy a special Easter program presented by the children. St. Pius Catholic St. Pius X Catholic Church will begin the Easter celebration cele-bration Thursday evening at Mass with 16 children receiving receiv-ing their first Communion, at 7:30 p.m. Adoration at the Altar of Repose will be conducted con-ducted all night following the 7:30 Mass. On Good Friday, Fri-day, Solemn Liturgy will begin be-gin at 3 p.m. Stations of the Cross will begin at 8 p.m. Confessions will be heard on Saturday, 11 am. to 12 noon; and 4 to 5 p.m., as well as from 7:30 to 9 p.m., followed follow-ed by Blessing of Paschel Fire and Blessing of Baptismal Baptis-mal Water at 11 p.m. Easter Mass will be cele brated at midnight with Mass at 9 a.m. Sunday. Pentecostal Church ( Rev. Burnsworth, pastor of the Pentecostal Church of God, urges all members of his congregation to attend the Sunrise Services. Regular Regu-lar Sunday services will be held at the church on Monte Vista Drive. All churches urge their members to observe Easter in the manner their religion own Salvation dictates.
