The Park City area is one of ; great recreational "ski areas of the state ando- recent vears has become known worldwide. Just recently, the United States Ski Fede-tion Fede-tion named Park City as it's year round traLv headquarters for skiers of Olympic caliber. Other areas of the state are becoming wid-known wid-known also, including the new Snowbird resc- . just down canyon from the already well-ky.. Alta. Alta has boasted for many years that is h the finest snow in the world and many people ' just now finding out that this is true. The growth potential has also hit in this p;-of p;-of the state at the Blue Mountain resort and al"; ' in the proposed ski area on the LaSal y.r,.- ' The Blue Mountain area has been in operat: for a number of years and the one being plarj- 1 for the LaSals could be in operation in the nei future, if things work out. This brings about one of the same probler that is facing northerners. What to do w ith of the people that will be coming into the ar;: The southeastern part of the state already t a good tourist trade during the summer morv but most of the people that are in the area hi motor homes, campers or trailers or other t: ilities that afford them their own facilities. ; Sure, we in this area don't see the possi- ill t v of haing 5.U0O people using our moi-iii-each weekend, but even 1.000 would put a b.::-on b.::-on the facilities already in use or planned forr: , near future.
