Show Keystone Slafes Addition To Lisbon Copper Mill Keystone Wallace Resources Resour-ces announced this week that engineering and feasibility feas-ibility studies have been underway for the addition of a new plant in Lisbon Valley to process the mixed mix-ed oxide - sulfide copper ore reserves. It Is expected that a final decision on going go-ing ahead with the construction con-struction of tJie new plant will be reached shortly after af-ter the first of the year. It was also explained that present plans are to continue con-tinue operating the existing copper oxide leach plant for at ieast another year. There may, however, be a curtailment of the mining min-ing operation during the coming winter months while the engineering and feasibility feas-ibility studies are being completed. It is expected that the new plant would go on stream in the latter part of 1973 about the time the present oxide leach plant fs phased out. The company announced that Mr. Guy Granger is now manager of operations. |
