Show Phone company advistors met The UtahColorado Advisory Advis-ory Board of Continental Telephone Tele-phone of the West held a one day meeting in Salt Lake City recently. Grant T. Callister, Utah State Service Manager, chaired the meeting which was attended by Sherrie Kinney, Administrative Adminis-trative Assistant; Keith Raw- l: TTi-1- Pi.i. Other major topics includ-; includ-; ed the proposed Federal industry in-dustry legislation which j would stop the Federal Communications Commis- sion's full implementation of its policies fostering competition competi-tion in the regulated telephone tele-phone industry until Congress has had an opportunity to complete its investigation and to develop a national telecommunications tele-communications policy. In addition, vital matters before the Public Service Commission Commis-sion of Utah of interest to the industry and telephone customers cus-tomers were also discussed. The purpose of the Utah Colorado Advisory Board is to obtain the support and comments com-ments of key people in communities comm-unities served by Continental Telephone of the West. It provides a sounding board for the plans and service of Continental and affords man; agement an opportunity to better understand the problems and challenges facing fac-ing the communities and customers cus-tomers served by the company. |
