Karen Cozzens, 4-H youth council president, and Becky Hutchins, county home extension agent, were on hand as Mayor McDougald proclaimed the week of August 8 "4-H Week" in Moab. Kaleidoscope Fair is the theme for the week, with two full days of activities planned for August 12 and 13. 4-H week in Moab proclaimed The week of August 8-13 has been proclaimed by Mayor May-or McDougald as 4-H week in Moab. The week's plans include in-clude two full days of activities activi-ties at the 4-H Kaleidoscope Fair, August 12 and 13, to be held at Southeast Elementary School. The Kaleidoscope Fair, open op-en to the public, will get underway Friday with a dog show at 8:00 a.m. Exhibits of work from Green River and Moab 4-H'ers begin at 2:00 p.m. in the Southeast Elementary Elemen-tary auditorium. Clothing, quilts, home furnishings, crafts, foods, photography, and gardening projects will all be on display until 7:30 that night, and continuing Saturday Satur-day from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. During the exhibits each day there will be a variety of local talent on hand for added entertainment. There will be a 4-H regional horse show in the Moab arena Saturday at 10:30 a.m. The week's activities will end Saturday Sat-urday evening with a style dress review given in Star Hall at 7:30. The 4-H organization is open to interested persons between the ages of 9-19. The public is encouraged to come see the work of these youths. |
