Show Burglaries, vandalism reported to Police Police report two burglaries burglar-ies and an act of vandalism to a vehicle during the week in Moab. On July 26 the Floyd Archer Arch-er family, space 87 Holiday Haven, returned from vacation vaca-tion and reported several hundred dollars in household items had been taken during their absence. A window in the mobile home was broken to gain entrance,-said police. On August 2 there was an auto burglary on Mill Creek Drive. Peter Viavant had parked his 1965 Volkswagen and was sleeping nearby. He was awakened at 2:10 a.m. by the sound of someone creaking creak-ing a window in his vehicle. He said he saw someone in the car and gave a chase, however, how-ever, the thief ran off carrying a large plastic garbage bag. Missing were a day pack, flashlight, books, miscellaneous miscellane-ous camping equipment, and $2.25 in cash. Also that date an act of vandalism to a 1974 Dodge van was reported at the Sunset MoteL The vehicle belongs to Henry Bickers, of Texas, and it had tires slashed anr( the canvas spare tire cover slashed. Damage waa estimated at $75. |
