Ferguson of American Fork announced his candidacy as a Republican for the United States Congress: in district number one against Democrat Demo-crat Gunn McKay. Ferguson was born in Tyler, Ty-ler, Texas, Sept. 1, 1931 ,and was graduated from Tyler High School in 1948. He attended at-tended Utah State University from 1948 to 1951 and .graduated .grad-uated from Brigham. Young University in 1953. He served as a pilot, 'lieutenant in the U. S. Air Force from 1953 . to 1956. Presently he is employed employ-ed as flight captain for Frontier Fron-tier Airlines in Salt Lake City. He is married and has three children. In making - the announcement announce-ment of his candidacy, Ferguson Ferg-uson said that his main reason- for running was the Bis-honest Bis-honest and immoral nature of many of the present government govern-ment programs and practices and the rapidly increasing trend for the government to impose complete government control over the lives of the American people. In spite of this widespread dishonest practice, Fergdson said that he is relying on the honesty of the voters to win this campaign. Ferguson's promise to his constituents is that he will neither buy their votes nor sell their liberties. |
