Show Seniors Facing Busy Last Week of Work A schedule for activiies and practices in relation to grad-tation grad-tation was released this week to al! sniors. This schedule Irrsight be of interest and assistance as-sistance to parents and interested inter-ested townspeople. Monday, May 18 Classes will follow the regular reg-ular schedule. Girls will be iissued caps and gowns during morning classes and the boys will receive theirs during the afternoon. A rental fee of $4.50 for girls and $6.00 for hoys will be charged for the .use of these. Tuesday, May 19 Regular schedule will be followed fol-lowed during the morning and books for afternoon classes will be checked in that afternoon. after-noon. Wednesday and Thursday Classes will follow the regular reg-ular morning schedule and Baccalaureatte practice will begin 'that afternoon. All seniors sen-iors are required to be at ithe LDS chapel at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 20 Seniors will check out of their morning classes and there will be a locker cleanup clean-up at 11:43. Baccalaurette ipractice will also be held that afternoon. Sunday, May 24 Baccalaurette services will be held at 'the LDS Chapel. Reverend Emil Balla will be the main speaker. Monday, May 25 The seniors will be excused from regular school. Gradua tion practice will begin at 9:00 and an Awards Assembly Assem-bly will be held later that imorning. That afternoon the seniors are responsible for the annual school cleanup. Awards Night will be held at 8: CO p.m. in Star Hall. The public is invited. Tuesday, May 26 Graduation practice will begin be-gin at 9:00 a.m. again with a senior picnic scheduled for that afternoon. This is the first such class outing held at GCHS in a number of years. Wednesday, May 27 Practice will begin as usual at 9: CO. That evening, Class iNight will be held in Star Hall. The program which will be on a talent show basis, will begin at 8:00 p.m. Townspeople Towns-people are encouraged to attend at-tend and are guaranteed an enjoyable evening. No admission admis-sion will be charged. Thursday, May 28 Practice will begin as usual at 9:00 a.m. That evening, even-ing, for the first time, a Senior Sen-ior Banquet will be held at the Ramada Inn. This banquet ban-quet is open to Seniors only. Friday, May 29 Graduation dress rehearsal wBl begin at 9:00 a.m. AB pictures pic-tures of the graduating class should be taken at this time so parents and friends are encouraged to attend. Commencement Com-mencement exercises will begin be-gin at 8:00 p.m. on the ampi-theatre ampi-theatre . These ceremonies are. of course, open to the public. |
