Show Valuable Contribution Given For Moab Museum Display V. P. Walker and Jack Walker, life time residents of Moab, presented to the Moab Museum a local collection of theirs: petrified wood, clam shells, and dinosaur bones aging close to 140 million years old. Museum President Dave May, and former Chief Naturalist Natur-alist at Petrified Forest National Na-tional Park, was at the Museum Tuesday to receive the collection and stated, "At Petrified Forest we had thousands of excellent fossil shells, bone and wood. Those specimens were no better than these that Krug and Jack have just given the Museum here in Moab. The Walkers' generous gift is a beautiful addition to our collection." The Walkers' collection was gathered mostly from 1950-1965 1950-1965 in areas as Yellow Cat, Little Valley, 10 Mile and Tuscher Canyon. J Of special interest was the fine detail of the petrified clam shells. The collection is a permanent display for the museum and can be seen during regular museum hours. Jack Walker, left, and V. P.
