Adrian, General Superintendent, to Joe F. Morgan in recognition of his outstanding achievement. Joe Morgan honored for service to Atlas A surprise dinner was held Nov. 28 for Joe F. Morgan of Atlas Minerals, in recognition of 22 years of continuous service without missing a single day of work and without having a lost time accident. acci-dent. This period of time is about equivalent to a company with 100 employees employ-ees working a full year without a single absence. Mr. Morgan was presented pre-sented with two plaques and a $500 savings bond in commemoration of his service. Edward R. Farley, Jr., President and Chairman of the Board of Atlas Corporation, stated the following in a letter of congratulations, "...on October 8, 1978 you will have worked for Atlas Corporation for 22 years and that during that period you have not been absent from work one single day. This is an absolutely incredible performance. per-formance. "I know that during this period you have held at least ten different jobs and you have performed all of them well. Your record has been absolute ely outstanding. "On behalf of Atlas Corporation and on my own behalf I want to thank you very much for and congratulate you on this most exemplary performance. perfor-mance. We are proud of you and are grateful to you for all you have done for us. I shall bring your magnificent performance to the attention of the Atlas Corporation Board of Directors when it next meets on September 28, 1978. In the interim I wish you success and, particularly, particu-larly, continued good health. "Kind personal regards." re-gards." Mr. Farley's letter was made into a plaque and presented to Mr. Morgan along with a plaque from Atlas Minerals which stated, sta-ted, "Certificate of Appreciation Ap-preciation presented to Joseph F. Morgan in recognition of his outstanding outstan-ding achievement of twenty-two continuous years of service without a single absence (10-8-56 to 10-8-78)." In remarks made during the evening Mr. Morgan was cited as fine example for young people to emulate in both work and home life. |
