Show Accidents Investigated by Utah Highway Patrol Two cars, a cow and a semi truck and trailer were involved in two separate, but related, accidents Sunday evening 11 miles east of Green River on US 50 6. Thomas Bosco, Frisco, Co., was driving east in a 1974 Toyota when he hit a cow. He pulled to the side of the road and was operating emergency flashers and trying to stop westbound traffic. Investigating Investigat-ing Trooper Lynn Herson said the location of the accident was in a spot between two hills. John Roberts, Westminster. Co., was driving west in a 1972 Plymouth pulling a 1974 camp trailer. He apparently failed to see Bosco and hit the cow. He lost control and the trailer flipped on its side and hit an eastbound semi head on. The semi was a 1977 Kenworth owned by N.A.C.A. of Ontario, Oregon, was loaded with frozen french fries and driven by Jesse Kubal, New Plymouth, Idaho. Both Mr. and Mrs. Roberts were taken by the Green River ambulance to Allen Memorial Hospital where they were treated for minor injuries and released. There was extensive damage to all involved vehicles, ve-hicles, the cow was killed, and there have not yet been any citations issued. |
