Show prop washSn By Jim Hurst Vss We were happy to see Brent Ross, our last summer's sum-mer's line boy Sunday. He moved to Snowflake, Arizona last fall. Brent plants to return to Green River in mid-May to once again work at the airport. Coombs Hall, superintendent super-intendent for Loudermilk Construction on the 1-70 job from Thompson to Cisco, was out on Sunday for a re-check out in Three Four Alpha (the trainer) and began a check out in Zero Niner Delta (the 182). Coombs and Jim plan to leave together in Zero Niner Delta Tuesday Tues-day noon for Norman, Oklahoma to get the most recent addition to the fleet. Coombs will get Dual navigation instruction instruc-tion on the eastbound trip and solo cross country experience on the return flight. A check of ice on the Green River reveals no danger as the ice is being melted by the river's waters wa-ters rather than being broken by rising water. The latter often results in ice jamb. A recent check of the Colorado reveals re-veals a similar condition to that on the Green. Green River City is transferring intercom radio to Hanksville for use in giving weather data and receiving landing information in-formation from incoming planes. The set needs minor repairs, after which it probably will be installed at the Weather Station in Hanksville, run by Mrs. Barbara Ekker. |
