Show V Direction Service for Handicapped Nov Available in Moab Aren "Direction Service is a brand new concept for serving the handicapped and their families," according to Nohl Sandall. ... Direction Service provides information on available resources, re-sources, helps an individual receive an appropriate program, pro-gram, and coordinates all services a specific client needs. Sandall, who is based in Price, Utah, is in Grand County every Tuesday to provide Direction Service to families requesting such help. Clients between three and twenty-one-years old are eligible eli-gible for Direction Service help. (Sandall also works with families in Carbon and Emery Counties; two other field workers are based in San Juan County.) "We want to emphasize that Direction Service is for all families with a handicapped person in the age range we serve. Handicapped children are born to parents in all educational and economic levels," lev-els," Sandall said. "Direction Service is free,. but we use all resources i I referring clients. Many of the services are available at no charge to the public, but we i may also refer to private programs. We discuss the alternatives with the parents, and refer only when formal ' consent is obtained from the parents," Sandall said.
