Show Jcsycees Get Nod for Moab Convention The 19G9 Utah State Jaycee convention will be held in Moab, it was announced here this week by officers of the local chapter. The decision to meet here was reached at quarterly February Feb-ruary board meeting in Salt Lake City, according to Vern Bailey, Moab president. Competing Com-peting with Richfield and other communities, the decision decis-ion to hold the convention here was overwhelming. Mr. Bailey stated that each' delegate at the meeting received re-ceived a "See You in Moab" brochure, and other literature litera-ture on the area. The movement move-ment also received strong support from Jaycees who attended the big summer convention con-vention here in 1965. The quarterly board meeting meet-ing preceded the annual State TOYM competition, where F. Cooper Jones of Monticello, was one of three state win-7 ners vho will compete on a national basis now. Attending the meeting from Moab were Vern Bailey, Wes Creed, Dee Tranter, Lonnie Ashburn and Frank Hanes, along with their wives. The meeting was held in Clark's Prudential Plaza, South State Street, Salt Lake City. |
