Show Safety Grosip Meets, Will Organize The formation of a Moab Safety Council, to operate under un-der the auspicies of the Utan Safety Council, was the subject sub-ject for discussion of a group which met in Moab last Thursday evening. The meeting was under the general direction of J. Wallace Wal-lace Corbin, a member of the Utah Safety Council, and organizational chairman, Harold Ha-rold Jacobs. Attending were representatives of civic clubs, schools, and women's groups who discussed the possible need for such a committee in Moab. Although no specific projects pro-jects were undertaken by the group, it was decided that a need did exist, and plans to organize should go forward. General areas of safety under un-der discussion included highway high-way safety and possible methods me-thods of improving safe driving driv-ing habits in Mor.b: pedestrian pedes-trian safety and other facets of the general subject. Mr. Jacobs has, since that time, met with other c,n-munity c,n-munity groups to discuss tii? problems existing here, and announced Tuesday that ths plans were well undenv?y for a continuing program m Moab. |
