Show Two Accidents Mar Week Near Blue Hill Two ace'etents occurred last Wednesday, one caused partially par-tially by the first, according to Sgt. Ralph Benson of the Utah Highway Patrol. The first incident happened at 3:45 p. m. 10 miles soi;:!i of Moab on Highway 161 this side of Blue Hill. Driver William Wil-liam Robert Rolingson. was descending Blue Hill in his 1966 Oldsmobile pulling a 20-foot 20-foot house trailer (brand new) Rolingson (61) of Denver, Colorado was accompanied by his wife, Mable, age 67. The couple was coming down blue Hill when the trailer's electric elec-tric brakes on the left front wheel locked. This caused the trailer to. overturn amounting to $2000 damage to the trail- er. The automobile remained upright but the trailer blocked block-ed the highway completely. . At 5:20 p.m. one-half mile south of the previous accident a Monticello woman, Mari-olijer Mari-olijer Bowerman,ige 41, applied ap-plied the brakes on her pickup pick-up to slow down for the accident ac-cident ahead. When she saw the flagman, she stepped on the brakes and her left front brake grabbed throwing her out of control. Her pickuo skidded off the ieft side of the road and up an embank-men.t embank-men.t There were no injur ies in the double freak accident acci-dent and no citations were issued. |
