Show Stf Clare's Guild Plans Big Bozaar St. Clare's Guild held It's Regular monthly meeting Oclober 24th at St. Francis' Fran-cis' Episcopal Church. In lieu of a program the rou-1 rou-1 tine buslnoss was followed hy a work-meeting for the forthcoming bazaar, "Canterbury "Can-terbury Fail'", to be held at the church November 10th and 11th. At the Fair will be booths offering offer-ing Arts and crafls, Sewing, Sew-ing, Cooking and Candy. A special booth for Paperback Paper-back Rooks will he manned man-ned by the Junior and Senior Sen-ior E.Y.C. All articles for the bazaar will be at the 'church before noon on Friday, November 10th, to he "set-up" for the opening open-ing that evening at 7 p.m. Chairman of the affair are Mrs. Los Graves and Mrs. Ray Tibbetis, who arc happy to answer any questions ques-tions about it. There will be unbelievable buys a chance to stock up for Christmas! All profits will go towards a Parish Hall for St. Francis' Church. A huge turn-out is expected. The business meeting was cortducted by President Presi-dent Sue Graves. Reports wore given by Secretary Rev Brechtel and Treasurer Treasur-er Marilyn Tibbetts. Nominating Committee Chairman Mary Byrd introduced in-troduced her committee, Betty John-on and Betty Bowen, and presented their report. Their suggest Of) slate of officers was accepted ac-cepted by acclaimation: Mrs. James L. Anderson l("Pat) - incoming president, presi-dent, and Mrs. K. E. Mc-Dougald Mc-Dougald (Audrey) - incoming in-coming vice president. , A Thanksgiving basket for a needy family was discussed. Also an appeal was reported for emergency emer-gency teen-age clothing for the Juvenile Court by (Mrs. Dx-k Wells. The November 28th meeting c-f Guild will be Friendship Night" with Vguests invited vo the (hurch for a demonstration demonstra-tion by the Utah Power and Light Company. |
