Show HEALTH NEWS Physicians and local health officers of-ficers have reported a total of 501 cases of notifiable diseases to the statd department of health for thoweek ending February 27, as compared with 531 cases last week and 408 cases for the same week last year. Influenza heads the list for the current week with 151 cases reported, re-ported, which is almost a hundred hund-red per cent increase over last week's report of 80 cases. Chick-enpox Chick-enpox takes second place with 138 cases and mumps third with 106 cases reported. Scarlet fever increased irom zz cases last week to 33 cases this week. An influenza vaccine has been used over a period of several years which protects against the usual types of influenza that we have been having for several years now. Although mass influenza in-fluenza immunization is not recommended re-commended at the present time, it may be indicated among certain cer-tain groups and individuals.
