Penney store, attended attend-ed a Penney company manager's meeting in Salt Lake City Tuesday Tues-day and Wednesday. Eugene Jenkins, J. O. Rasmus-sen Rasmus-sen and C. A. Morley attended a ' Lions club meeting at Midvale Monday night. Lions are trying to sponsor a large park in that vicinity. Martha Circle met Wednesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. J. F. Barkle of Copperton for a nicely appointed one o'clock luncheon. lun-cheon. Sixteen members were present. After a business meeting meet-ing bridge was played and prizes were won by Mrs. Max Brisk and Mrs. Frank Zaccaria. Mrs. A. C. La rick received bingo prize. . : local notes: Kenneth Hall, accompanied by his buddy, Bruce Johnson of Leigh, Iowa, arrived Sunday following fol-lowing their discharge from the navy at San Francisco to visit with Kenneth's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin E. Hall. Another buddy, Bill Hausmeyer of Superior, Super-ior, Nebr., is expected to arrive Thursday (today) for a several days' visit here with Kenneth after which Kenneth will accompany accom-pany him to Superior for a visit. |
