| Show DEATH TM CLAIMS INSURANCE MAN James Rogers 68 secretary treas of the Rogers-Evans Rogers company insurance firm and for many years president of the Utah State Association Association Asso Asso- of Fire Insurance Agents died Monday at a. a m. m at his residence Second avenue of a aheart aheart heart disease Mr Rogers had been ill several days Native of Salt Lake Born in Salt Lake City September Septem- Septem ber er 12 1869 he was a son of Alexander Alexander Al Al- and Janet Brown Rogers I i and id d had resided here most of his hs life ife He was graduated from business college at Dedham Mass when lie he le was about 21 years of age and returned to Salt Lake City where he le became connected with the old Utah National bank as teller Entering the insurance business in n 1898 he assisted in forming the Jennings Rogers company This firm Irm was later combined with the Bransford Westcott and Keith company to form the Rogers Evans company in 1905 Mr R Rogers gers had hadeen been een an officer of the latter firm since that time Head of Association Elected president of the Utah State Association of Fire Insurance Agents at a convention in 1927 he remained in that position for many years rears Mr Rogers was also an active member of the Episcopal church He is survived by his widow Mrs Cora Young Rogers two sons Jay A. A and Denton S. S Rogers a daughter daugh daugh- ter er Catherine Janet Rogers all of Salt Lake City three brothers W. W W. W Rogers and E. E A. A Rogers Salt Lake City and R. R B.
