Show FOREIGNERS AND CITIZENS ALIKE . ASKABOHTBANK A. E. Pritchard Named to Take Charge of Postal Savings Business. If one may judge by the number of inquiries which are being ' received daily at the local postoffiee the postal sating deposit which will be opened on August 28 will do a rushing business. The inquiries come from varioua elasaea of Deonle. hilt a larm nnmher of .hem are from foreigners, who ask numerous numer-ous questions and finally leave apparently appar-ently satisfied that their money will be safe if it is in the care of Uncle 8am. For the benefit of prospective depositors de-positors the department has issued a circular giving information to those who may wish to deposit money. This pamphlet, which may be obtained by application to the local postoffiee, gives a detailed statement of the object, ob-ject, aafety, who may deposit, how to open an aceount, interest, withdrawals and other information. Postmaster Thomes announced thia morning that Alfred E. Pritchard of the cashiers ' department of tha local office of-fice had been selected to take charge of the posts aarings department, and that a special window will be provided to tske care of the business. Should the business of the department demand it, Mr. Pritchard will be allowed aa many as intents aa he may need. The government has selected the following fol-lowing Bait Lake City banks aa depoe-itoriea depoe-itoriea for the money received' at the local saving department: National Copper bank, Deseret National bank and the Salt Lake Security and Trust eompany. |
