The annual, outing of the American party will be held at Lagoon July This waa determined at a meeting of the American club, held In Knlghta of Columbus Colum-bus hsll Saturday night, when a general committee was appointed to have eharge of the day's event. The members of this committee are George Whltaher. H. W. Dennett, Mart Reedall. j. B. .Moretor. Thomas Hobday, Jacob T. Ralelgb and OeOTge F. McGonagle. The club authorised tha secretary to communicate with former Senator Fred T. Dubois of Idaho and Judge Ogden Hlles et this city to Invite them to deliver de-liver addresses at tha meeting. A line program. Including an abundance of first class music, will be arranged, and It la believed that all record, for attendance attend-ance at a similar affair will be broken. - The matter of organising for the city election to he held next fall waa taken up and discussed Informally. President A. J. Weber informed the club that the city committee had determined to call a convention pursuant to the resolution adopted by the club advocating the proposition, prop-osition, that an agreement might be reached aa to the candidates far the city commission. . The city committee and the district Chairmen of tha American pmrty-wlH be Invited to meet with the club at Its next session, which will he held In the city courtroom on the night of July 1. |
