Show GREAT DAY FOR ORPHANS OF CITY; COESTS OF FAKS "Purple Day" Starts With Automobile Ride Tomorrow Tomor-row Afternoon. "No. 47" bas ben bsiejci with telephone rails from littla boys and girls all da,, for information concerning concern-ing the celebration of Purple day by the local lodge of Elks, which begins tomorrow afternoon at 5 o'clock and ends Thursday afternoon at the same time. There have been hundreds of calls, according to Secretary W. F. fulmer, from the children, who are burning with eager exectnncy and waiting with impatience for the great day. The decision of the local lodge of Elks to give the children the time of their lives has been followed by hard work on the part of virtually every member of the lodge to make the promise, good in a lavish way. More than fiftv automobiles have been donated, do-nated, with their drivers, to th services ser-vices of the club for tomorrow afternoon after-noon when every homelesa child in the city will he taken on a long and delightful de-lightful ride. ji, Ig, fciwing. -T-Ue1! rulr ftf the club and ex officio chairman of all committees, and Dr. O. A. Light, esquire es-quire of the club and marshal of tha parade, have outlined the folowing instructions in-structions to all ehauffeurs who will participate in the parade: Directions to Chauffeur. "Every painstaking precautionary measure must be taken for the delight and safety of the children. The strictest strict-est order must be observed in tha pa rade. No car shall attempt to pass another driver. Each car must keep in line with the tile leader and observe twenty feet space between each ear Never onder any eireumstance or condition close in. If your file leader stops, you stop twenty feet in the rear. " You are not to exceed six mils an hour ia the business portion of ths ! city, nor fifteen milee aa hour in the residence portion. In returning to the orphanages you will observe the same painstaking precautionary -measure until every child is safely delivered into the hands of those who are their keepers. You then disband." The automobile ride will begin at o'clock tomorrow afternoon and it is d-signed for two hours' duration. The line of the parade as decided vpoa by th lodge is aa follow: Long Eld for " Kiddies. " Starting from tha Kearns 8t. Ann's orphanage at 6 o'clock; will proceed east on Twelfth South to Ninth East street; thence north to Third Aouth street: west to Ktat street; aouth to Eighth Honth street; west to . Main street; north to South Tempi street; east to Thirteenth East street; north to First avenue: west to Q street; south to South Temple street; west to Htata atreet; aouth to Exchange place; west to Main street; south to Twelfth South; east on Twelfth South street to orphanage. The outing at Liberty park Thursday Thurs-day ha been fully outlined. Every member of th club has been designated aa a member of th entertainment com mittee, whoa duty it ia to adopt one or more of th children for th day and show them the time of their lives.
