Show SALT LAKER ARRESTED AS WHITE SLAVER Dance Hall Manager Is Alleged Al-leged to Have Led Girls Astray. Lawrence "Butt" Price, man about' tows, prize fight promoter and manager mana-ger of the Conservatory dance hall on Post of flee place, waa arrested by Depu- ' ty United State Marshal Julian Riley at noon today on a warrant (barging y him with "white slavery" in two ap-arate ap-arate cases, each of two count. Price, it i alleged, persuaded Amy Radtke and Florence May Green, both Salt fjake grrnr about 1 s- years of n cfe, to leave Bait Lake and go to GoldteTd, Nov., for purpose of prostitution. On July SO both girl disappeared from tbe city and complaint waa made to the police of tbeir absence. Investigation Inves-tigation akowed that they were acquainted ac-quainted with Price, whose movement were being watched when both girl returned to th eity, three weeks after their disappearance. It ia alleged that Price introduced them to George Reevea, proprietor of a dance hall at GoldBeld, who was oo a visit to this city with Jessie Reeves, alias Jessie Orev. Reeves, it is said, persuaded the girls . to leave town, telling them he wanted tbent to sell beer' ia his dance hull. , Upon fneir return here the girls stated that thev had heea forced to room and board at the house of ill fame operated in the Nevada town hv the Grey woman. W hen t hey bega n to complain, it is alleged, they were furnished fur-nished their tickets home on tbeir promise not to say anything. Price was at once taken before Commissioner Com-missioner Charles' Baldwin, who fixed bond in the amount of $1000 in each cap. Price ' was placed in custody of Offieer Riley and up to Iste this aft ernoon bas been unable to secure bond. The preliminary hearing will be held in about a week..
