McCarthy, the labor union mayor of the city, who sought to succeed himself. Rolph 'a plurality over McX'arthv waa estimated at 18,600 or 19,000, the largest ever polled ia this city by a mayoralty candidate. Under the charter provisions he is mayor-elect of the city today, having icceived a majority of the total vote east, estl- msted at around 7000. , Heavy Vote Oast.
