Show MAIL CLERKS WANT SERVICE PROMOTION SYRACU8E, N. Y., June 12. Peter Sehardt, the new It elected president of the National Railway Mail Clerks' association, as-sociation, gave out the following statement state-ment today before leaving for his home in Milwaukee, Wis.: "The most important work the new officers of the association will pursue is aa effort to secure service promotion, pro-motion, such as is now in vogue among postoffice clerks and letter carriers. Bv this change the men will be advanced according to length of service and work done until the maximum salaries are paid.
