KANSAS CITY, June -ItJ-At. a resumption re-sumption here today of th state's ouster suit against the alleged lumber truit which adjourned in St. Louis on May 25, B. A. Long, president of the Long Bell Lumber eompany of this city, admitted that his eompany, ia re spons to a recommendation . by the Southern Lumber Manufacturers' aaaociation aaao-ciation in 1904, had curtailed its output out-put of yellow pine 331-1 per cent for silhonthCIecauselhe' supptyof "list commodity at that time was much greater than the demand. Mr. Long also admitted the existence exist-ence formerly of a price list committee of the association, and also of a "committee "com-mittee on trade and reports," but these, he said, had both beea abolished some time ago. Nam I Changed. Mr. Long was th first witness called. He said his eompany waa a member of the Southern Lumber Maa-ufaeturers' Maa-ufaeturers' association, and that he had been an officer of that association, having hav-ing been president during th veers IWH .nd 10(15. He said the name of the association had been changed to the Yellow Pine Manufaeturera' association as-sociation .at a meeting held at New Orleana ia January, lOOfi.
