The transformation trans-formation this seJTnpment makes In the more rapid development encouragea the operators to bend everyi effort toward getting get-ting Into the ore sones at greater depth. All the work Is now confined to sinking the shsft from the 200 to the 300-foot level. The formation la rather hard, but about three feet la made by a shift, and a depth of about twenty feet below the fiilrd level has been attklned. This working work-ing Is at present In what appears to be vein matter, with aome valuea In Iron, and Indhatlone of ore throughout the bottom bot-tom of the shsft. The formation appears to he getting softer and the management manage-ment anticipates that better progress will be made from now on. At present Jhe company la operating with one ahlft. It was thought advisable advis-able to start operations off with the new equipment with a small force, until the machinery had been Umbered up and was prepared to operate without -a hitch.
