Smyth, who acted as the elerk at tke aalea, returned to the eitv today from Parowan. He says thst 18.446.36 aerea of land wera disposed of at the sale at the average price of about $3-25 aa acre. The land brought in tha neighborhood neigh-borhood of $60,000, of which about 1723.46 waa paid down. The balance will be paid in ten annual installment! with interest at tha rata of 5 per cent per annum. In apeaking of tka poasibilitiea of the lands, Mr. Bmytb savs that in tha Parowan Paro-wan and Cedar vallevs there ara between be-tween 200,000 and 300,000 acres that ara aot yet under cultivation, but undoubtedly un-doubtedly will be la a few years.
