Kerena was given but a few moments' leleure after his arrival here, having immediately been taken In tow by R. FJ. Wells, general manager of the Salt Lake, and F. E. Wann, general traffic manager, and others, all officials, for an Inspection trip over the San Pedro dlvlalon of the road. The members of the Inspection party were J. Ross Clark, T. P. Cull en and B. If. Jessup. On the way to San Pedro Mr. Kerens told his companions of his eurprlse at the slse and growth of Salt Leake. "1 thought 1 must be mistaken In the place.' he said, "when I rode through the streets of Salt Lake, f had not been there for some years, and It must have doubled In slse.
