Show CALUHET-HECLA VOTES FOR MERGER BOSTON. May S. Slightly more than 81 per cent of the outstanding stock of the Calumet and Hecla Mining company voted today in favor of consolidation con-solidation of' nine smelter subsidiary companies with the Calumet. The only frotest came from a representative of he eatate of the late Thomas L. Chad-bourne Chad-bourne in behalf of Waldemar L. Chad-bonrne, Chad-bonrne, the special administrator. When the stockholders of the Ahmeek company met later ia the day to rote oa the consolidation it was announced that aa order had been granted by one of the courts ia Michigan preventing the stock of the company owned by Calumet and Hecla from being voted at the meeting. The order was issued at the request of F. W. Denton, general manager of the Copper Range properties, proper-ties, and otbere. The Ahmeek meeting was then postponed for a week. Mr. Dentoa ie related by marriage to the Chadbourae family. . |
