Low heart-shaped beds of yellow daffodils occupied the ends of the table wfth a cut glass vase f the ssme flowers in the center of the table. Yellow shaded candelabra completed the decorations. "YK OLDE DAYS" were recalled at the Colonial ball, one of the quaintest events given this season, which occurred last evening at the Ladles' Literary club. In the receiving line were Mrs. L. M. Bailey, Mrs. Ira, H. Lewis and Mrs. Russell C. Woodruff, attired in Colonial costumes wtth powdered hair piled hlg-h upon their heads. Tha decorations were In the national na-tional colors and palms were most effec-tvely effec-tvely hanked about the room and abont stSLge, concealing the orchestra. At i punch bowl, which occupied a table Vped In red. whits and blue, Mra. C. G. fltrnmer and Mrs. Hapgood presided. The ' dancing programs were red. white and blue hearts tied with ribbon of the same shade. A yellow color scheme was used In the dining-room below, the table being be-ing decorated with yellow Jonquils and lixhled by yellow shaded candles. UK. AND MRS. HUGH C.
