Show IT MEANS DEATH TO ALL BOSSES Senator Hollingsworth's Primary Election Bill Is Expected to be Vigorously Opposed by the Crowd. With a few modifications to suit conditions con-ditions here, the Illinois primary law will be introduced in the Senate in a few days by State Senator-('. R. Hol-lingsworth. Hol-lingsworth. It will be similar to that introduced two years ago by Hollings-worth, Hollings-worth, which did not got outside the committee-room door. Tbe bill, it is believed, will be looked upon by the Federal bosses as a personal per-sonal sffront, and it is probable that every means will be used by them to defeat the measure. The measure will proviso for a primary pri-mary election in every county ia the State with a population of more than 2000 persons, to bo held Julv 1, prior to every- general election. The names of all candidates for office will be on the ballots, as well as those of dele gates to the State and countv conventions, conven-tions, and members of tbe State and county committees. This will taVe the power out of the hands of the boss. |
