Show SEVERAL BILLS ARE PASSED BY SENATE Business In the Senate yesterday was decidedly dull, due partially to all interest inter-est being centered In the railroad bill. The following House bltls were passed: No. S4 and 99. the revenue measures. No. 97, by Clegg. regulating the sale of real estate for taxes; No. lis, providing for the inspection of cattle shipped out of a county: No. 204, by Robinson, regarding re-garding duties of board of education; No. 242, by Richard, relating to the collection col-lection of funds for school libraries, and No. 258, by Cottam, relating to drainage. Senate bill No. 100, by Gardner, increasing in-creasing the salary of the State chemist from $1000 to $1500 a year and cutting out his contingent expense of 1300 waa also passed |
