Show TO ADMIT ALL TO THE HAGUE Peace, Conference Votes to MaKe European Meeting Permanent and Open to Every Nation of Earth. NEW YORK, April i7. The National Nation-al Arbitration . and Peace congress today adopted its platform of resolutions, resolu-tions, recommending, ' among other things, that The Hague conference shall hereafter be a permanent institution; that The Hague court shall be open to all the nations of the world; that a gen-eral gen-eral treatv of arbitration for ratiflca- i tion by art the nations shall be drafted ..V by the coming conference, providing for the reference to The Hague court of international disputes which cannot can-not be adjusted by diplomacy; that the United States Government urge Upon the conference action looking to the limitation of armament; that the conference extend to private property al r.ea immunity from capture in war. The resolutions speak highly in praise of President Roosevelt, Secretary Root and the Prime Minister of Great Britain for the stand they" have taken in favor of a settled policy of peace among the nations. This afternoon there will be a regular regu-lar session in Carnegie hall at 3 o'clock, at which William .1. Bryan will be one of the speakers. Seth Low will preside and the other speakers will be Richard Bartholdt, William W. Morrowt Senator Sen-ator James R. MeCreary, John W. Foster Fos-ter and Diego Mendosa. There will also be a conference of peace workers in the Broadway tabernacle taber-nacle at 9:30 o'clock, at which Mrs. Lucia A. Mead will preside, and in the evening the delegates will wind up their session with two dinners, one in the Hotel Astor and the other in the Waldorf-Astoria. Carnegie will pro-side pro-side at the Astor, and Low at the Waldorf. Wal-dorf. The speakers, so far as possible, will be heard in both places. The list includes James Bryce, the British Embassador; Em-bassador; Earl Grav, Governor of Canada Can-ada Dr. Edward Everett Hale, President" Presi-dent" Eliot of Harvard, Archbishop Ireland, Dr. Lyman Abbott and Samuel Sam-uel Gompers. |
