Brod-)'.'' t the Salt Ike Theater last night and enjoyed an evening of unalloyed fun. Scott Welch as Kid" Bums, a comedian of very great ability, shared h6nors with Corinne. the star, and deserved de-served the hearty reception he received on every appearance. Of th,t graceful, that majestic little actress, ac-tress, Corinne, she enacts the character of Mary, plain Mary Jane Jenkins, a servant ser-vant in the Caatleton home, better than any role she has ever taken. She not onlv captivates the audience, hut she captured it. Her solo. "Mary's a Orand Old Name' and "So Iong, Mary." brought hearty encores en-cores to which she responded. All of the music is pretty and catchy. "The Gentlemen of the Press." "Trie "Popular-Millionaire" and "Forty-five Minutes from Broadway" were all well rendered. The stage settings are new and are handsome. hand-some. The whole thing Is a mixture of musical comedv. comedy drama and burlesque. To mention one of the rompanv is to" mention all. All are good. The play goes again this afternoon at a special matinee and the engagement closes with the performance per-formance tonight. There aratwo head-liners at the Or-phetim Or-phetim this week and both are well worth the price of admission. May Edouln and Fred Edwards, who present "A Bachelor s Dream." forms the" first liner. The playlet play-let is new and well done. At the close the laughing songs can he .classed among the best of rhat kind of amusement that has ever been given in the city. Emilia R"fe. the acrobat, does manv new and . lexer stunts, among them them swinging of two baskets of eggs In mid air. Harry Richard k C"o. give the comic operetta tiiti and Cts . Cts.. Harry i Richard, ss the billionaire in love, and Dorothy Daley, as his daughter, are fair. Nellie Hoke, the accordian soloist, was unable1 to appear on a -count of a washout. and in her place the St. Ong Kros., the . bicyclists of the evening, substituted and j alo opened the program with some good ' rUling and bump.
